When we go to the pool, Matthew has much more stamina than Alex. Most days Alex and I hang out on the lounge chair and eat some snacks while Matthew continues to play in the water.

Annual Baseball Game
For an early birthday present and to fulfill our yearly trip to Safeco Field, we got tickets to the Richard Sherman Charity Baseball Game.
The whole crew.
Unfortunately, Alex was sporting a really high fever and a burgeoning ear infection so he was not at his best.
Mama and her big boy.
Daddy and the sickie.
Mama and her boys. This is Matthew's new thing - not smiling in pictures.
4th of July in Ennis, 2014
Also while in Ennis we got to celebrate Independence day. We started the festivities by going to parade.
After all the floats had gone by, a strange man dressed as a pirate in a skirt came by and gave the boys eye patches. AAARRRGGGH
After the parade we went home to have a nap and get geared up for the rodeo.
the weather started out lovely and sunny...
See I was there to!
About an hour after getting to the rodeo, this nasty storm came over the mountains.
We high tailed it back to the ranch before things got too nasty.
Montana Day1,2 and 3
Unfortunately while we were in Idaho with Nana and Papa, Grandma Ida passed away. So instead of heading west and homeward after camping, we headed East to Ennis to spend some time with Grandpa Rick.
On the way there Alex was eating gummy fish. Most of them ended up in his seat as opposed to his mouth. That combined with high tempos and a lack of AC lead to a rather sticky situation.
We were a day ahead of Aaron so we spent the first day hanging out doing fun stuff like feeding the horses.
And riding the electric tractor.
This was fun for both of them the first day and after that really only fun for Matthew. Nothing like a big brother to figure out how to dump you out of the trailer. After a few tumbles (and multiple whiplashes from sudden stops) Alex lost interest in riding in the back.
