The move is done.

This first night in the new house.  We got all the boxes and furniture moved (of course none of it is unpacked) and the beds up and ready to go.  Matthew was so excited we got to have a pizza picnic on the floor of the family room!

Ana's "help"

This is what Ana does to Matthew when he stops by the office Thursdays after pre-school.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was chilly and rainy so we kept it very simple and just went for brunch then home to relax the rest of the day.  Aaron made me a bouquet of the boys hand prints.

Things to do at Auntie Colleen's

I realize at this point that my blog is very much behind and I have not blogged several important and several unimportant things.
So lets backtrack to the end of April when the boys and I went up to Onoway for an extra long weekend visit.  These are some of the things we discovered it is fun to do at Auntie Colleen's house.
Play with Tracker, the worlds most friendliest cat.
Try to figure out Papa's new computer in Auntie Colleen's great big, red chair.
Go quading with Carlam, Claire and Daniel.
Look super cute in your quading gear that took longer to put on than it did to actually go quading because Carlam got stuck in a massive snow bank.
 Be naked.
 Get zerberts from Nana.
Totally dominate on Papa's new computer.
Put the quading helmet on your little brother.
Whose head and neck are too weak to hold it up and which despite Nana's vehement protests is actually incredibly funny.  She is the reason why I don't have a picture of Alex with his head "face hole" down on floor.
Go swimming for hours with anyone who will go in the hot tub with you. Poor Daniel was out there for two hours one night.
This is actual swimming people that includes diving and grabbing toys off the bottom.  This is no "let's go relax in the hot tub" moment.
Feed the fish.  It totally sucks when you are just inches from dumping the entire tube of food in and another adult catches you.
Jump on the trampoline (aka get tricked into going outside to jump on the trampoline with Nana then have her zip you in and leave you there) so the adults in the house can get a little break.
Pretend the tanning beds in Auntie's salon are space ships.
Take a much needed bath with your brother after being in the hot tub for hours.
Be super cute in said bath.
Be the coolest person in the airport because you have an airplane shaped carry on.
As always we had a great time and are looking forward to seeing the cousins again in July when they come to our neck of the woods.

Hey 38!!

This past Monday was my birthday which I totally forgot about until I got a text from Kathy.  I rolled over and said to Matthew "Today is Mummy's birthday!"

His response was to gleefully wish me a "Happy Birthday!" and launch into an impromptu, off key half version of the Happy Birthday To You.  Then he said "I'll be right back", hopped off the bed and wandered out into the living room.  He came back with a wooden cat statue I have and said all birght eyed "Happy Birthday Mummy, here's your present!!"

I thanked him profusely as I accepted my gift.  Then he dissappeared again to return shortly with my blue pumps and again saying "Happy Birthday Mummy!!" and singing again.  He did this intermittantly throughout the day coming to me with random household items and presenting them as birthday gifts (once he gave me the charging cords for the portable DVD player!).  Such a sweet little guy.

He also decided that on that day my new name would be 38 (can you quess how old I turned?).  So he would say things like "Hey 38, how are you today?", "Hey 38, whats that thing over there?"  "38? May I have a drink?".

As a special birthday event, we went to McDonalds drive through for breakfast for an Egg Mcmuffin meal, pancakes and lots of extra hash browns.  Mmmmm McDonalds hash browns.....
