Flower Arrangements by Matthew

Matthew likes to gather foliage from the yard and put them in containers. This is often referred to as flower arranging.
This one is maple leaves, sticks in a pringles tube.
This one is more classic with two flowers and a fern frond in a vase.

Alex's First Haircut

On June 18th, Alex and I went to see DD and he got his first hair cut.
Before
He was pretty uncertain to begin with but I think it was mostly because he couldn't find his hands.
Not a fan of the spray bottle either.
He found his hands part way through and it was all sunshine an roses and big smiles from there on out.
After

Actual Fathers Day

Since the Friday of bowling was a disaster we decided to try a nice quiet lunch on Sunday.
Matthew giving his dad kisses on the head.
ooo look Daddy's drink has whipped cream on top.
yeah, yucky whipped cream
Alex was much happier so we took a few selfies.

After the selfies, Alex was giving out kisses and if you know Alex at all you don't turn down kisses if he is willing to give 'em.

Pre Father's Day

The Friday beofer Father's day we went bowling with the boys thinking it would be less crowded and would also leave Sunday as a day off of activities for everyone.
For future reference: do not take your "just into the terribles" two year old bowling.
We spent however long it took to bowl two games (seemed like 4 hours) manhandling Alex to stop him from running off, running onto the lane, running onto other peoples lane, spilling the drinks, trying to hoard all the drinks and all the food and crying/screaming/laying on the floor kicking/crying/screaming.
What a wreck.

First day at the Beach for 2014

One Monday in early June we went to the beach.

Reading

This is what happens when you try to read to your two kids while laying in bed and they are constantly vying for the best spot.

Jurassic Qwest

On Sunday June 1st, we went to check out Jurassic Qwest (AKA how many parents can we sucker into spending a bajillion dollars on this lame dinosaur thing we came up with).
They had several of these dino rides
We only did one because there was a 15 minute wait to get on.
and Alex wasn't having any of it.
There were also animatronic dinosaurs.

Dino roar faces are appropriate for the Jurassic Qwest portraits.
Best part of it all was running into Alex and Elliot Wells which lead to a visit to their house in North Seattle to meet their new baby followed by a delicious greek lunch.
