I was in the bedroom with Alex folding and putting away clothes when this happened.

Matthew, A study in Self Portraits

January 13, a good day for the blog

On January 13th we all hung out in our jammies and watched football all day.  It led to some great photo opportunities.  The first of which was when I noticed they were wearing complimentary pjs.
this is the only one where they were both looking at the camera
but this is a better one because it shows who they really are
football game picnic. notice the "bowls" Matthew picked out.
Again this is his real personality
This is what happens when Mummy says, sit nice for the picture
Alex practicing with his bottle.  He is in training for a sippy cup.
He doesn't spend much time laying on the floor since he mastered sitting but the sippy cup training has given us an additional opportunity to practice rolling.

 Garrr, almost got it.
 more rolling
Apparently Matthew wanted in on the pictures
.

I think he was mad that I was just standing there and not helping him.
Ahhhh, the joy of boys.

Watching the Kitty

You may notice that this post is not titled getting to know Moe.  Thats because since we brought the first one home he learned that it is best to maintain a no touching policy when it comes to kids.

Cereal

Learning the joys of solid food with Papa.  This was the day we dug into the super sweet cereals that Nana bought from Target.  Apparently this was the same reaction Papa got when he shared his ice cream with Alex.

A Night Out

On the 5th of January, Mom, Kathy and myself went out for  nice dinner and took a ride on the Great Wheel.  The boys went to Grandma Joyce's and Papa stayed home to watch football in a quiet house.

A photo op with the city in the background.  We ate at Ivar's Acres of Clams as evidenced by Mom's take out bag.  It was delicious!
 The Great Wheel
On the ride.  It was, for me, surprisingly scary but Mom and Kathy really liked it.

Random Pictures

Sooo tired after a day at the Useum of Flight
 Being "nice" to his brother
A photo of Alex and Nana taken by Matthew.
Becoming Nana.  Apparently all it takes is red nails.
Pillow fight during the Rose Bowl parade.
Breakfast for Alex.  It would appear Papa has yet to have his morning coffee.
 Kisses from Auntie.
Alex and his Auntie Kathy when we went to Shari's for brunch
At the end of another long day, winding down watching Netflix with
Papa.

Burke Museum

On the 30th of December we adventured out to the Burke Museum of Natural History and...wait what was it called again?
The Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture
From the start Matthew was so excited we were going to the "Useum to see dinosaur bones".  Thank goodness they had dinosaurs!

They also had culture but Matthew was much less interested in that.

Matthew spent most of the time in the play area with Nana playing with the plastic dinos.
