Spiffy Shoes

Today we found these spiffy shoes in a bag of toys and Matthew insisted on modeling them.
Now this is style.

Just chillin' and lookin' Fab.
Look even the bottoms are awesome!

Nana's Blanket "After"

So at the end of the nap the blanket typically looks something like this. It must come from the wild flinging of legs that happens upon waking because he stays covered all night.
This day was particularly cute because the chunky legs were on display.
We have discovered that Nana's magic does not translate into hats (for Matthew or Aaron). This one, which you can see is still quite large on Matthew, was meant to match the blanket in the video and cover his head on the way home from the hospital.

A Few Randoms

Last weekend we went to The WHistle Stop for a lovely Sunday lunch.
Matthew and Mummy hanging out in bed on a lazy, rainy Saturday morning. The first day of the labor day weekend, 3 days off in a row!!
Auntie Kathy working her magic and putting Matthew to sleep on a Friday afternoon at the office a couple of weeks ago. I am so blessed that she stops by most Fridays to take over when I am completely pooped at the end of the week. She will be missed when school starts and she has to study instead of snuggling the baby!

Lunch in the Park

On Friday the weather was gorgeous and Matthew was awake at the right time and I wanted him to have a nice long nap so we went to the park that is about half a block from the office (where I used to take a nice long nap myself at lunch). We found a great spot in the shade under the hazelnut trees and relaxed.
I am way too in love with the self portrait feature of my camera.
I think we look a lot alike in this one.
As the hour passed Matthew got a little carried away and took his pants of!

Nana's Blanket

Almost every time we put Matthew to sleep he grabs the blanket Nana made (whichever one of the two is in the crib) pulls it up over his face then down around his neck and cheeks and falls instantly asleep. It doesn't matter whether he is out cold when you put him in there or if he is wide awake, he feels so comforted and comfortable as long as he has his blanket. (sorry to have to post this Darcie but I know my Mum would be more than happy to make you one of her magic blankets)

First Fishing Trip to the Cedar River

On Monday afternoon we all took advantage of the nice weather and went fishing on the Cedar River for the last day it would be open this year.
Matthew and I in our shady spot on the shore.
To be in the spirit of the outing, Matthew brought along his crab toy.
Yeah I'm just hanging out with my mummy and my crab watching Daddy in the water.
Tummy time by the river.
Hey there good lookin'!!
Yep, that's my daddy back there trying to catch a fish.
I apologize for the weird voice but I was trying to get him to smile and talk for the camera.

Fun with Mummy!

I was on the floor playing with Matthew and unbeknownst to me Aaron was taking pictures.
He is fascinated with faces and grabbing them to see if they will fit in his mouth.

Random Pictures

So close but not there yet!
Mmmmm, feet.
Always happy in the tub.
Out of focus but super cute expression.

Yeah this my Bumbo, what ya gonna do about it?
