Doin' the Puyallup

Today we closed the office and Dr. Brian treated everyone to a trip to the Puyallup Fair.  For those of you not in the know the Puyallup Fair is the 4th largest county fair in the nation.
First stop immediately inside the gates was the antique merry-go-round.

I took pictures and video while Dr. B and Kindra joined Matthew onthe ride.

Second ride of the day, first one that he was actually tall enough to go on, the race cars.
 Then the space ships.

The Dragon Roller Coaster was a big hit, this one we did twice in a row.

 Then the quads.
I have to say thanks a ton to Kindra and Carl and Dr. B who all stood around patiently in the heat, watching Alexander, while Matthew rode these rides and I took pictures.

My little spider man.  When we got home after the fair today, we played face painting!
Nyimah got a tattoo.
Erica got her face painted too!
After some food and the face painting, the big kids headed for the midway.
I took Matthew, Nyimah and Alex to check out the animals in the barns.

Alex was in the moby wrap while we did this, thats why he isn't in any of the pictures.

All in all we were at the fair for five and a half hours.
This kiddo was out cold before we got to the freeway but if you asked him he was NOT tired.

Big Milestone

A couple days ago Alex figured out how to get his fingers in his mouth on purpose. I know this is weird that the picture was taken while he was in his car seat but I'm tellin' ya this kid is camera shy.  Every time I got the camera on his to document this event, he would stop doing it.

Aaahhhh, look at those fabulous stinky baby feet!!  Ooooh I just love 'em!!!

Big Digger

This afternoon Matthew dragged his big digger he got from Papa on his birthday out into the front yard and went to work. He had such a great time on his construction site!

In the end, all I had to do was get the big broom out and sweep the dirt back into the flower bed.

First Train Ride

On Monday, Aaron took Matthew on the link light rail. They went into Seattle to Pike Place and back.

Baby Shower

So its a little late but here are the pictures of Alex's baby shower.
This time it was just a small group of people since we have pretty much everything we need  and because I was enormous and very tired.

To the shock and horror of all, I was enjoying a nice cold Amaretto Sour.

Tattoos

Big thanks to Jenn who introduced Matthew to temporary tattoos.

Alex's First Visit to Kennydale Beach

On September 8th Matthew and I introduced Alex to our beach.
Loving being half naked on the sand (kind of).

Little guys can only flail for about a half hour before they have to take a nap.

Two Months Old

Two months old and almost too big for his 0-3 month clothes.

A mustache so thoughtfully provided by his brother.
Our last day at the pool this summer and Matthew learned a whole bunch of new things.  He almost learned how to not run but thats a tough one.  He can now jump off the side into the water all by himself and he can keep his head under water for 6 seconds!! Ok so maybe he only learned a couple things but they were really big things to learn.

Next summer I will be taking a couple weeks of going to work late in the day so this kid can get some real swimming lessons.
