To Canada for Christmas Day 9

It SNOWED!!!

I insisted again that we go sledding now that there was more snow.
It was deep at the top of the sledding hill
Since the snow was fresh and light there was a lot of blow back when you went down the hill.  That meant Alex only went down once, cried the whole way back up and REFUSED to get out of the truck again.
Matthew was a trooper though

I even convinced Dad to go down once.
We detoured through town when we were done to stop at the bakery again.  When we found it was closed Alex was heart broken and wailed most of the way home.

So we distracted him by letting him clean the snow off the deck again

Colleen brought out the poppers she had forgotten on Christmas Day

Ah the joys of sharing a bed with your kid

To Canada for Christmas Day 7 - "Christmas Eve"

On this morning Papa took the boys in to town to look around.
They found a bakery
Where Alex picked out a lemon cake!!
He was so excited about it but in the end I don't think he liked it.
Dad, the boys and I went for a walk in the pasture since it was a nice day and it had snowed a bit more.

Coyote tracks
Mouse tracks
aaaannnnddd mouse pee, spotted by Matthew and possibly the best part of the walk.

and since we were with a 7 year od boy it was important to document the rabbit poop
and the rabbit poop/pee combo
Kid tracks and shovel tracks

clearing off the pond so they could slide on it

Alex was really into clearing off the pond
relaxing after the hard work
Helping Papa chop potatoes for dinner.
He stood on this chair and chopped until the last potato was done
Snuggles with Agnes
Just before bed we went outside to distribute the reindeer food on the lawn.
It was very dark so who knows how it got scattered or really where

Claire and her friend Emily who spent a couple days with us in order to take the train ride.
In the afternoon, we went outside to play with Papa's paint ball gun.

Everyone got a turn
It was really fun!

Daniel attempting to it a stick he put on top of the target
Success!!
Since we used up all the ammo and the air for the gun, the boys talked Papa into pushing them down the driveway on the toboggan.
It was a slow ride that ended with a bail out before hitting the dumpster.
