Denny Creek Campground

The weekend of September 9th we went out to Denny Creek to squeeze in one last camping trip.
On the drive up I thought out loud, "I didn't realize this was so high up in the mountains!"
It is about a mile from the summit at Snoqualmie.
As always after the tent is up, the fire must be lit.
Luckily no one was maimed by the loose ax head and we had a nice fire.

Yup, its up in the mountains and quite chilly.
This explains why the campground is only open until the end of September.
First camping trip with the camp stove.  Changed our world.
A hike up to Franklin Falls with Johnny and the dogs who came to visit us.

Our campsite was right next to the river and this big rock was out in the channel.

Matthew cooked his own eggs for the first time!
