Baby Feet

Alex loves his feet.  One of the many things that makes him really happy is to get his feet out of his jammies so he can play with them. Plus baby feet are just so cute.

This day at work he had a hold of it and was talking to it.

Christmas Tree

This year, because we had a helper who was super excited, we decided to get the tree and get it up and decorated all at once.
The boys outside in the rain at McLendon's tree lot.
Beginning to put the ornaments on.

Alex woke up in time for family photos.

Trip to the Park

Comparison

Alex at two weeks.                                                         Alex at 4 1/2 months.

Thanksgiving 2012

Because I had done lots of prep , I wasn't responsible for the turkey, the stuffing or the pies and because dinner wasn't scheduled until 5pm, we had time that morning to:
skype with Nana and make a tool belt out of a sippy cup and underwear,
make paper crowns for both boys
and admire them,
visit with the Wells',
and admire the sun lighting up the Olympic mountains on a last minute run to Fred Meyer.

We did it and only an hour behind schedule!

Survival

In early November I was putting together some emergency supplies so Matthew came up with his own survival kit.
Everything you need in an emergency: umbrella, ski goggles, peach fluffy scarf.
Helping to make sure Alex will survive.

Fun Times

At work a couple weeks ago, Alex was awake at lunch so we hung out with the baby in the phone.

New Squeals

Happy Halloween

Yes I totally made these!
Ok so I bought the cupcakes but I totally decorated them!
Firefighter (fighter fighter) on his way into daycare.
The cool tank that really finishes off the costume.
Ready to go trick or treating with bucket and fire fighter rubber boots to add final touches.
 Alex the bat.
There is a really cute hat with purple pointy ears somewhere but Matthew was playing with it and I have NO IDEA where it is.

Trick or Treating. Matthew had a great time checking out the decorations and picking out candy at each house.  He kept saying "10 more houses" so eventually I had to start the count down.
But it all worked out perfectly and as we got to 10 on the count down Matthew had to pee so we headed home to uncostume and have ONE piece of candy.

Milestones

Nirvana: toes in one hand, other hand in the mouth.

Official Tester

I bought a standy uppy thing (for you fancy folks out there its an activity center) for Alex.
Matthew had to get in to check it all out before his brother could get in it.

Pumpkin Carving 2012

This year we "got" to carve four pumpkins.
Checking out the lay of the land before the guts come out.
Daddy demonstrates proper procedures.

 Then Matthew has a go.
Putting the guts in the bag.
