Sugar Cookies

We made and decorated sugar cookies again this year.
Matthew did take part but I didn't think to take any pictures until after Alex woke up from his nap and by then Matthew was off down the street playing with his friends.

Carols and Randoms

Matthew's school does an annual evening of caroling through the neighborhood.
We met at the school, were led by and followed by fire trucks, intermingled with firefighters and schmoozed with Santa.
Matthew's teacher Mrs. Bass was there with her kids.
We picked up Matthew's friends David (far left) and TJ (second to the left) and ran into his other friend Ar'Money (pronounced Armani) while out singing.
Picture with one of the firefighters.
It was POURING the whole way which is why Matthew is soaked and although you can't see it, freezing.

A portrait of Moe by Matthew (post teeth pulling, pre coyote attack)

A rousing game of Dreidel played with Gelt and a Firefighter.
We had an unusually large amount of firefighters involved with our holiday celebrations with year.

Christmas Tree Decorating 2015

This year when we went to McLendon's to get our tree, we were intercepted by a company who was looking to do some advertising regarding their tree delivery business.
They let us pick out a tree, paid for it, did an interview for the news and then delivered it to us!

Thanksgiving 2015

We had a potluck-ish Thanksgiving.
I cooked the Turkey which I had never done before.
It turned out great and I had Mackenzie there to cheer me on every time I took it out to baste it.
Good food, good people, good times.

First Hockey Game

November 21st, Matthew and I got to join a couple of my patients at a Thunderbirds game.
Their seats were front row just to the left of the goal.
And right next to where the players enter and exit the ice so Matthew got to get lots of glove smashes.
He was pretty excited.

Halloween

On Halloween night the weather was terrible.  It was pouring down rain and windy as hell but the kids were so pumped to go trick or treating there was not avoiding it.

Taekwondo Halloween Party

The weekend before Halloween Proper, Matthew's after school program Ms. Mari's Martial Arts Center hosted a party.
We went with Rainbow Kitty and Skeleton thingy.
Rainboew Kitty was what Alex said he wanted to be for Halloween.  It is a combo of his favorite animal (kitty) and his favorite color (rainbow). and It. Is.Cute.
There was truck or treating.

There were games:

Later in the afternoon there was a costume contest. Alex won in the four and under age group for Funniest Costume.  He was not nearly as thrilled as
the one who made the costume!
Matthew was too busy playing to take part in the contest.
