Valentines Day

So obviously this is a little late but these pictures were hiding on my camera.
Mom and Dad sent me and the boys this box of delectable chocolate covered strawberries.  They were enormous and delicious.  In fact I ate the last two that were hidden in the freezer today.
  Still delicious!!!
I did take the strawberries out of the box and put in a couple things from the dollar store that the boys would prefer because honestly when you are 4 and 1.5 chocolate covered strawberries are not the gift you want regardless of the holiday.
These were the give away valentines that we made for Matthew to take to daycare.  They turned out great and it only took 4 tries and 88 crayons.  Thanks Pinterest.

Soccer

On March 23rd Matthew started soccer.
It is a six week camp of 15 3-5 year olds.  It is so cute to watch them run around after the ball while the instructors attempt to teach them skills.
Alex spends the hour running around trying to find puddles.

Last week they got shirts!!

Gymnastics

In mid February Matthew started gymnastics.  It is an activity that I felt he would have a natural tendency for and that he would really enjoy.
He loves the trampoline.
He also loves climbing.
This is how they begin to teach somersaults, on a wedge.
The balance beam
As with Karate, Alex is left to look on.
The bubble that pops to get all the kids in the right spot for stretching.

There is lots of stretching in gymnastics.

More trampoline.
Bear crawl
This one is really cool.  They hang from the bar then climb up the yellow and red wedge  then flip over the bar.
Once they have flipped over, they use their big muscles to lift themselves up and hold.
Matthew seems to really enjoy it but I'm not sure if it will be a long term thing.

Superbowl

Woo Hoo the Seahawks won the Super Bowl!!!
These are the two pictures i took to commemorate the big day.

Matthew the photographer

These were taken byMatthew.  He is getting pretty good with the camera.

Then again, maybe its luck, because these aren't so great.

I Don't want a Family Nap

On the Saturdays I have the kids, I pick them up from Grandma's on my way home from work and we all lay down for a family nap.  Not all together in the same bed just all at the same time.  This  is a tradition that started when Jenn was here.  Without fail Matthew protests loudly then falls in to a deep restful sleep.

Some pictures Matthew crafted just before Christmas
This is Mummy.  A lady made up completely of eyes. I'm not sure if it was intentional or just coincidence.
Hearts inside hearts.
