I a Tiger

On Thursday when I was getting ready for work Matthew joined me in the bathroom and because I am typically pretty distracted in the morning, he got a hold of the blue eyeliner and turned himself into a tiger before I noticed.

Point Defiance Zoo

On Wednesday Matthew and I headed down to Tacoma to visit the Point Defiance Zoo and meet up with my friend from chiropractic college, Anna Piianaia and her crew of little ones.

We managed to intercept this lady as she was walking along with this sloth hanging off her and we followed her to her demo tree. Sitting along the concrete in the front row is our crew of little critters: L to R: Sadie, Lela, Izzy, Matthew and Ian. Can you guess which one belongs to me? Anna really only has three but she brought her neice, Lela along.

Other than this sloth the real hot ticket at the zoo was the playground. Next time we get together we'll just go to a playground and save ourselves the $16 entry fee and all the hill climbing and stroller pushing.

Strawberry Festival

On Sunday afternoon and rode the ferry over to Vashon Island for the strawberry festival.

The ferry ride over was overcast but fine.

This would be Matthew's second ferry ride but the first one was when he was about 4 months old so he actually participated this time.

Happy Birthday America

This July 4th was pretty low key. Just an evening barbeque at Tim and Richelle's.

In order to tucker out the kid for a second nap, we went to the pool. There was hardly anyone there even though it was a beautiful day.

After dinner was fireworks and ice cream on Richelle's back yard deck. She has a fabulous view of the valley, the moon and the fireworks displays.
