Visit from the Patience Family

On Sunday August 3rd Colleen, Daniel and Claire arrived for a five day visit. On Monday we headed into Seattle to check out the Pacific Science Center. Tuesday was a shopping day so there are no pictures of that even though we had our way with DSW and found some really great shoes. Wednesday was a road trip and Thursday was more shopping for and babysitting while I went to work.
Checking out the water Canons outside the Science Center.
Trying to get Claire a little more wet.
Enjoying the cool water from the fountain at Seattle Center just before the huge jets of water trapped us at the center.
Daniel had so much fun in that fountain. We had to leave because we had no sunscreen and Colleen and I were getting fried.
I told you I could stand (with a little help from Auntie Colleen).
Mmmm, this Ivars place is yummy and feeding the big birdies is a lot of fun, I think I'll be back.
Waiting with Claire for the rest of us to get our poop in a group.

On Wednesday all five of us hopped in the car for the four hour drive to Forks, WA and an impromptu Twilight tour. Aaron and I went there last year for 4th of July but since the movie came out the town has turned into a Twilight mecca. After eating terrible Chinese food and doing the tourist thing around town, we headed out to the beach at La Push.
Sisters.
It was so wonderful to get to spend these days with Colleen.
Scouring the beach for rocks and shells.
Yeah look at me growing up and sitting in the baby bjorn like a big boy!
It's a little chilly when those waves sneak up on you!
Still looking for the perfect rock or shell.
Mummy, Claire and Matthew.

Group Photo. Colleen doubted me but we all managed to squeeze in for a snapshot using the self portrait program on my camera. Even though we were exhausted from a long day on the road you can see we were all really happy.

I'm GREEN with envy that you kids went to Forks and La Push! Scurrying off now to tuck in with book four. Sigh....
