It turned out to be a fantastic afternoon so we went outside. While Alex was napping Matthew helped me scrub the moss, yes that's right, moss off my car. I only got sprayed in the head with the hose twice.
After his nap, Alex came out to enjoy his first afternoon in the yard.
It was a time of great discovery: grass, moss, sticks, rocks, leaves, dirt.... 
Needless to say both boys were in bed and asleep about an hour ahead of their regular schedule.

I just want to talk about two things:
1. I literally have 3 feet of snow piled up in my yard. Some people who shovel with a bit more, shall we say, vigor, have 5 feet.
AND YOU HAVE GREEN FREAKING GRASS????
2. Moss. On. Your. Car. This is beyond my comprehension. Do you not drive your car? Does an elf live in the trunk? a pixie? I have to look on The Google.
