Camping Day 2- Hike to the Brig

On day number two we decided to take a short hike before nap time.

Matthew was almost always ahead of us.
Alex was almost always lagging behind.
Here Matthew was "taking care of all the long distance seeing" for the hike.
Standing next to giant weed/flower thingys.
About to blow the seeds of a goat's beard.
We ended up at the Brig Museum.  Faragut State park was a submarine training station during World War II and the sole remaining building is the brig which they have turned into a museum and memorial.
Unfortunately our short hike turned out to be more like 3 miles and on the way back Alex gave up the fight to sit on the side of the road and eat rocks.  Needless to say he was carried all the way back and Matthew was carried about half way back.  Thank goodness Papa has a really good sense of direction and was able to find a bit of a short cut.
