Around the early part of July I noticed a week growing right next to the back deck. It seemed harmless enough compared to the rest of the yard so I left it alone. Well, a couple weeks later I came back and it was almost as tall as me (I know HUGE) and now it is about a foot higher than the eaves of the house.
As you can see it has flowers and everything.
This one was barely peeking out of the ground when we left for Fernie, week later it looked like this. (note the dog bowl I put next to it for scale) I am going out there this weekend to chop them down.
